Hey I.R.S.!
You can all jog off!  Here was my little gift from Uncle Sam today… as if the many thousands I stroked that year to them wasn’t enough. Oh, yeah, it’s from 2009. Oh, yeah, and they’ve got dodgy numbers because I filed an amendment in 2009. Oh, yeah, you can take the “interest” and shove that up your ass too! Oh, yeah, thanks for the whole 30-day notice. Why...

Tumblr Acknowledges Its Growing Spam Problem |... →
Yeah, tell me about it. I mean, I like boobies as much as the next guy, but I also like my clean macbook too. At least in my email messages I have the chance at claiming my Nigerian royalties worth $250,000,000,000 American Dollars with only a minimal initial investment. These spammers are just lame.

Training starts tomorrow.
Although I’ve got it planned out, actually written out on paper, it’s still somewhat fluid since I’m training for a trail marathon rather than a road race. I’ve decided I’ll stick with much of the same format just sub the long run and a shorter run with trail runs for the same distance and/or time. I’ll also work in some hills both ascent and descent on my...

properly of course: tsar-bomba.tumblr.com  while I’ll naturally pick up the basketball posts rather soon, figured i’d spice things up a bit. really, what difference does it make? i could name the thing ‘noonereadsthisgarbage.com’ - doesn’t really matter.

A great win last night vs a pretty weak Arizona team. Make not mistake though, Nick Foles is legit although he started tossing up doo-doo towards the end there. I will be on a quest today to find two video clips. 1.) Hartvigson’s catch that was ruled incomplete. 2.) Fellner’s “targeting” penalty. Regarding the first one, I can honestly say, bias aside, in all of my years...

Dia de los Muertos 8K Recap
So goes another few miles in the books. It was supposed to be a +1 which but my +1 couldn’t run it tonight. It was a solo go. I’ve run in non-light hours plenty of times but this was my first official night run actually. They did a hell of a job. The music was rubbish before the start and I’m told it didn’t get any better (think Rick Rolled!!!). The run was fine though....

WatchWatch
This is a video of the Scott Olsen incident in Oakland. While it’s certainly not breaking news right now, I found it extremely interesting that on NPR about an hour ago the lady referenced the story twice as follows: “A former Marine was hurt” and “he fractured his skull” Funny how one could infer anything from that wording. What happened NPR? Did he slip on a fucking...

Marathon Update + Twist
As of a week or so ago I was pretty set on signing up for the Cowtown Marathon. I may have even mentioned I’d wait until the very last minute before the fees went up to actually sign up though. It’s how I roll in life. Any sort of commitment to anything just bogs down my brain, a fact that absolutely kills my family of “planners”. I keep no plan and love it that way! Well...

College Football Picks - Week 9
Another shyte week last week. This week may not be any better. Watch for a few upsets. Stoopsy doesn’t loose twice in a row so look for them to roll into Manhattan and beat K State. Michigan State will fall in Lincoln as well; sleeping on Big Red. I’m done picking UB…sorry. And LOL at Florida although I never pick Georgia b/c UGA sucks. Although I’d love to see Rock Chalk...

The Time for GMO Labels Has Arrived →
While they’re confident there will be changes to food labeling policy, I would guarantee that nothing will be done, in fact the ongoing conspiracy between our government and these biotech corps will only get worse. Hell, it’s not even a conspiracy, they’re almost blatant about their relationship.

BOLO : GVOY + Trail
Possible video of me and my trail. I’ve got one of these flip cameras I’ve used only a handful of times. Feel like hitting the trail so I’ll “turn up the juice and see what shakes loose!” Plus I’ve got v2 of a pumpkin pie waiting for me upon return. I’m going to dive my face into that bad boy!

Climate Deniers Still Not Happy With Koch-Funded... →
The fact is the deniers will never believe the facts presented before them. There will always be the few scientists they can dig up to make futile attempts to discredit the data. Even if there aren’t, they still won’t believe, especially if it remains a politically polarizing issue, which is bullshit by itself.

On choosing your path
Are you resigned to your fate? Your place in the world? Your contribution to it? Maybe that’s all a lie. Maybe you have the power to manipulate the status quo of your existence. Maybe doing so is precisely the product of your fate. I do not proclaim to have any answers to much of anything at all other than I do believe in a few things one of which is your pursuit of happiness. Yes, this is a...

About that Iraq withdrawal | Greenwald →
Interesting take from Mr. Greenwald. This is not a surprise move here. And like others have said, let’s understand that while “troops” are coming home, which is great, a large force of contractors and “other govt agency” folks will remain, which is not great. I can only hope this isn’t just a setup for another drawn out campaign somewhere else we don’t...

Is Monsanto Using Us As “Human Guinea Pigs”? |... →
I swear I couldn’t dream this shit up!  The same scientists working on GE research are also working for biotech corps are also the same folks our government uses as subject matter experts to approve these chemicals and GE foods. See something wrong with that picture? I certainly do!  Don’t you think it’s odd that virtually every modernized nation, even others, won’t even...

Senator Paul Secures "No Child Left Behind"... →
A request to hear from teachers! Find me an actual teacher who’s a fan of the NCLB. Sure, administrators and slimy politicians love it. Anything based on a matrix of numbers and statistics which can be manipulated resulting in cash flow, right on. Trouble is it’s at the expense of our entire education system.

College Football Picks - Week 8
Tough week last week; worst yet. This week, lot of rivalries. Too many directional Michigan schools dammitall! Buffalo is killing me but they’re going to win! Biggest upset pick, OSU @ Mizzou. I don’t think Missouri is better but I know Okie Light… this is what they do. They kick ass on people you don’t expect them to, then they lose one they should roll. Also, I...

Marathon Update
Unless some unforeseen derailment occurs I’ve decided to run the Cowtown Marathon in Fort Worth, Texas. I’m not a huge DFW fan in general, it’s okay I guess, but given the alternatives it’s the best fit. My 16-week training program which I’ll publish later on after some refinements, will begin November 6. Naturally, I’ll procrastinate signing up until the last...

Run like the wind...
Or against it, rather. Me, to the wind: “BAFANGUL!” Wind, to me: “NOOO, BAFANGUL YOU!!!” Then the wind proceeds to put a trash can over my head and punches my face in! If you don’t get the reference, you are wrong. It’s a chopped up scene from “The Godfather”, naturally. Indeed, it’s a San Antonio cold front, which is nothing more than 30 mph...

WatchWatch
One of my all-time favorite players. I am lucky enough to remember watching Pat LaFontaine during some great seasons. What a badass this guy was and I’ll hold that he was indeed the best American ever albeit cut short a bit. JR and crew just had this argument the other night about Modano and Chelios. Both amazing, of course, but both more so because of longevity I think, and recency effect....

What to expect from a Rick Perry administration:... →
I’m not the only one who notices… of course I’m not in a scientific field but I find that Republican’s general disrespect of all things science mind-blowing. I don’t understand it. With a goon like Perry it’s easy to spot, he’s a religious zealot and a majority of those clowns just flat out don’t believe in science, facts or theory. Sad state.

Ron Paul Announces Ambitious ‘Plan to Restore... →
I would ask that EVERYONE take a look at the document. Easily broken down statistical analysis of his plan. I would disagree on one point: I would totally abolish the Department of Homeland Security. It has been a debacle since day one, and I know this from first-hand knowledge. I was part of that debacle and only by choice am not there now. I can assure you no good comes from the mess that is...

Another interesting take on compensation for student-athletes, albeit a couple weeks later here. I referenced the Atlantic article when it first came out. Very interesting to have a reputable personality come out on the other side. I’ve had to chop my research in half about 10x now. This project is taking on a life of it’s own!

Some GMO|GE food info →
READ IT; HEED IT! You’re worried about your tax money, you’re running all over creation trying to get fitter, you’re etc, etc, etc. Yet what no one knows is the chemical garbage that we’re inundated with. You think your government is looking out for your safety, your health and well being. NO, they’re the ones fueling the fire! Time to wake up, folks!
